So ot turned out to be a simple wire switch from the rotary converter. It has to have the "Wild "leg going to the center pole and it fires right up with no alarms. So now I am working my way through the manual and trying some of the old programs that are stored in the memory when I noticed that the turret will not index. I followed the instructions to put it in jog and press the turret index button and I can hear the small clunking sound like it is trying to do something but no movement. I am able to get the spindle turning and it jogs to the position as the code instructs, but :drowning:then the program stops and does not move pst a tool change. Does this sound easy? simple? or freaking off the hook crazy, give the lathe back and stick to the tree mill, oh I love my tree mill! Well, just in case you did not see my other post, It is a Hardinge CHNC ll with the Seimins 10tf control. Is in excellent shape, I have it running on a rotary converter (10hp with a 50hp coming soon) I have all the manuals, a little experience, I run a (fanuc mill at work) and would love to get this running as well as we have the tree mill working now! ( did I say I love the Tree mill?) okay, to be honest, I'm a sucker for any machine that runs the way I tell it to, Well, I love my wife and she doesn't do what I tell her to.. That's also why I love the machines. Yeah, too much info, back to work.:tired:
