Hello, Nick here. Post #1
I have just acquired a
Laser & Controller: DSP5.1 For MPC6515
Software: laser cut 5.3
And all works pretty well considering.
Something I haven't figured out though, is when it starts a new cut, it attempts to pierce the material first, with a great big spike of energy... which more often than not, leaves a hole where I don't want a hole.

I know this is standard for cutting steel etc, and you have to have lead-ins - but I'm just cutting acrylic or wood... as far as I can see, there's no need to do it.
Any idea how to stop it starting a cut with a pierced hole?
A config file that does this is here:
http://weirdsky.com/miscImages/syscfg.ini
if that's any help
Thanks,
Nick
