I have 2 identical motors attached to a VSD-E in dualDC mode. Using identical settings one of the motors settles in approx 30ms, the other is unable to settle and very quickly becomes unstable. In fact with any PID setting it is unstable.
One of the things I've noticed is that while the shaft is oscillating, the plots show the motor is consistently over shooting and undershooting as expected, but the shaft does move away from 0. I feel like it must be losing encoder counts, but it is not obvious from the plots are they are very smooth. Perhaps a second opinion would help.
