Has anyone any expirience with using Nitrogen for cutting stainless steel on a Powermax 105?
I have just changed from a TD A120 Cutmaster on my Blue Marlin to the PM 105. Previously with the TD I had used Nitrogen to cut up to 4mm s/s @ 40 amps with quite good results but the TD rep told me that 40 amps was the maximum otherwise the electrode would melt.
I now have some 15 thick s/s to cut with my new Powermax 105 and I see from the manual that I would need to use 85 amps for any piercing.
I could of course just use compressed air but on the thinner materials the Nitrogen gave a much cleaner cut.
