i am looking at 4x4 cnc router kits, joe's evo and the CRP4848. i get the impression they both cost about the same, $3200-3300, for the structure and motors and electronics. do i have this part right?
joe's runs on angle iron and the crp4848 uses flat bar guide rails. i am not sure about differences in precision between the two. there are forgings with joe's that need to be drilled? would my floor stand woodworking delta drill press be good enough or is it better to find a vertical mill for this?
are there other differences to consider? this tool will be a first for me , and admittedly, sort of a solution looking for a problem. i have some midcentury furniture i want to build, so it would be fun to try this approach. i built several airplanes in the past and miss having a big project to play with.
