I have these motors on the way: 4023-820 | Stepper Motors | Applied Motion
voltage: 1.3vdc @ 3.9A/phase
I also have the HobbyCnc EZ driver on the way as well. The description says a min of 12vdc and a recommended of 24vdc.
From what I've gathered from A LOT of reading I have found most people say that steppers need to run at 10-20 times that of the rated voltage (1.3vdc)
To me it seems like running at HobbyCnc's recommended 24vdc, would burn up the motors since that is basically on the fringe of 20x the rated voltage.
I would really really appreciate some solid feedback on the voltages/currents I should be running. I need to buy myself a power supply and do not want to pull the trigger until I have a gameplan.
Thank you in advanced!
