We have a 1980 Milacron Avenger Lathe with a Acramatic 850 SX Control. We use Master Cam Lathe 8 and the generic Cincinnati post processor. On to our problem.
We are trying to thread a 2-1/2"-8TPI NPT Internal thread. Mastercam is posting
G32X....Z.....I.-.0039K.125
According to the Cincinnati books the I(using the G32) cannot have a minus symbol or the decimal. It would also prefer the K.125 to be K8.
We have cycled the code and it is doing some very strange things. It is cutting at an angle. However at the end of the slope it jumps up then out then back down. If we weren't cutting air the machine and part would be destroyed.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
