Hi,
I am setting up a CNC machinefor my workplace. It has run using mach3 before but is now using a new drive system and PC.
I am a complete newbie to CNC and require help setting up.
The machine I am using is :
Dell OptiPlex GX520 P4 HT 2.80GHz 1GB DVD Refurbished Desktop PC Computer
And the system with which I hope to drive my CNC with is the System4C from DIYCNC.COM.
I have installed the mach3 trial software and have been able to jog fine when not hooked up to my system but now i want to plug in my motors and driver system.
The system i am using is system4 from diycnc.com
CNC Systems
a plug in and play 3 axis driver boards unit with regulated power supply. I have constructed it and wired it correctly yet now when I plug it into the PC via the parallel port and I change my pin settings to that suggested in the manual my motors arent moving.
The motors are wired in correctly but they make no sound and do not seem like they are receiving any power or data. The LED on my driver indicates that it is receiving power from its power supply but I am confused as to why Mach doesn't seemed to be communicating with my driver unit even though it is plugged in.
Any suggestions?
Please help
