Temperature and CNC routers.

I'm getting ready to start building a 4x8" router with aluminum extrusions. It's going to be in what is basically an insulated shed with a small heater only while in use. Should I worry about temperature changes throughout the day/seasons? I was thinking I could install electric heat and keeping it at a decent temperature and turn it up when I'm in there, to make it a smaller variation. I'm concerned about the machine expanding and contracting, not really my own comfort. I'm in NY.
